Common questions.
Is the hardware tied to a specific payment processor?
Every terminal Data Plus ships is configured for your CardConnect merchant account. If open architecture matters to you — custom apps or direct gateway integration instead of apps from the Clover App Market — the PAX A920 is built for that.
What does the “Custom quote” price include?
Hardware is quoted per deployment instead of a list price, because the right kit depends on your operation — one counter terminal is not the same as a multi-station setup with kitchen displays or kiosks. Share your floor plan and Data Plus recommends the kit and configures every device for your CardConnect account. The quote comes in writing, with no verbal promises.
Should I choose Clover or PAX for my business?
Clover is the fast path for retail and restaurants: Mini for small counters, Flex for tableside and mobile selling, Station Duo for full-service restaurants and busy retail. PAX A920 is the pick when you need open architecture — custom software, CRM-driven flows, or direct gateway integrations. If you’re stuck between two, send Data Plus your floor plan and we’ll recommend the right kit.
What happens if a terminal stops working?
Contact our team and we’ll help troubleshoot it and coordinate a replacement if needed. Additional or replacement hardware is configured for your account before it ships, so it isn’t a box you have to set up yourself.
