1 · Agent relationship
DataPlus Merchant Services (“Data Plus”) is an independent sales agent of CardConnect, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fiserv, Inc.
Data Plus is not a bank, is not a card network, and does not itself underwrite, process, or settle card transactions. Underwriting, processing and settlement are performed under the applicable merchant agreement, and funds are settled to the merchant’s designated bank account according to that agreement.
2 · CardConnect Merchant Terms
Payment processing services offered through Data Plus are governed by the CardConnect Merchant Agreement, the operating rules of Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express, and applicable US federal and state law. By signing a merchant agreement through Data Plus, the merchant enters into that agreement directly with CardConnect and the other parties named in it.
A copy of the complete CardConnect Merchant Agreement is provided prior to signing and is available on request from hello@dataplus.us.
3 · Processing rates
Customized processing rates are subject to underwriting, monthly transaction volume, card-brand interchange schedules, and merchant category code (MCC). Data Plus does not guarantee specific processing rates and does not publish a fixed rate card.
Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express update their interchange schedules periodically. Interchange generally flows to the issuing bank, and card-brand assessments are separate network fees; neither is negotiated by Data Plus. Processor and other fees vary by agreement and are itemized in the merchant’s written proposal.
4 · PCI DSS compliance
CardConnect processes card transactions and provides tokenization. Use of validated service providers may reduce PCI DSS scope, but each merchant remains responsible for determining and completing the applicable validation requirements, such as a Self-Assessment Questionnaire.
The applicable Self-Assessment Questionnaire depends on the merchant’s full implementation, not only on the use of a tokenizer such as CardSecure. Data Plus can help merchants understand the process during onboarding; each merchant confirms its own classification.
5 · Privacy
Data Plus collects the business and contact information you submit through this website to respond to your request and prepare a written proposal. We may share it with the processor for underwriting and with service providers that help us operate this website and our customer records. We do not sell it. If you use the chat assistant, your messages are processed by an AI service provider to generate replies and are stored to improve the service. This website uses privacy-focused analytics that do not use cookies, and error monitoring configured to filter personal information out of error reports.
This website does not ask for payment card numbers. Card data for merchant transactions is tokenized by CardConnect’s infrastructure at the point of capture, according to how each merchant’s solution is implemented.
If you email merchant statements for a review, we treat them as confidential and use them only to evaluate the account and prepare a proposal. Statements are not uploaded to or stored on this website. We keep the information you send us for as long as we need it to respond to you, prepare and manage a proposal, and meet our legal obligations.
This website does not use advertising cookies today. If we add advertising or measurement tags in the future, we will show a cookie notice first and load them only for visitors who accept.
6 · Disclosures
Data Plus is compensated through a recurring residual share of processor margin paid directly by CardConnect on each merchant transaction. This compensation structure is disclosed to every prospective merchant prior to signing and is itemized in the merchant’s proposal.
- Data Plus does not collect funds from merchants directly.
- Merchant funds are settled by the processor to the merchant’s designated bank account; Data Plus does not hold merchant deposits.
- All marketing claims comparing Data Plus offerings to competitors are based on publicly available pricing as of the date of publication.
